Pun'kin Time

Today, Macey painted pumpkins (or punkins as Macey calls them) at Ms. Crystal's house, and she just loved it! When we got home, she kept saying, "paint punkins, paint punkins" until I eventually set her up a little paint station outside and let her "paint punkins" (the same pumpkin, haha) all over again. A little artist!

Our little man has started pulling himself up to stand all by himself! I'm not sure if I'm prepared for him to be walking around, but I guess it'll happen before we know it! I haven't gotten a picture of him standing yet, but here's a cute shot of him peeking over the side of his pack-n-play.

This is just a sweet little picture of Miss Macey and her daddy!

Soooo Big! Happy 8 Months, Easton!

This sweet boy turned 8 months old today! Let's see...he's crawling now (army crawler!), babbling A LOT, trying to pull himself up unsuccessfully and the separation anxiety shows up every once in a while. He definitely knows when mommy leaves the room, but usually as long as he's happily playing he's A-OK! The funny thing is that now he'll just crawl from room to room following us or chasing after a toy.

I had a lot of pictures with him taking the sign down!

Cute boy laughing at Bailey through the window!

The Chipper Chickie Giveaway

I recently discovered The Chipper Chickie, and she has some super cute stuff at her Etsy shop! I love, love, love Etsy, so it was great to discover this shop to add to my list of favorites!

They are giving away a year's worth of burlap door hangers: Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and a fifth holiday of the winner's choosing. Fun, huh? Fingers crossed that I win, but I wish you luck too! (Maybe only a little luck...) Like The Chipper Chickie Facebook page to learn how to enter.

Look how cute!

Dinner Ritual

Macey LOVES sitting at the dinner table at copying whatever Greg's doing...which of course makes Greg want to do funny things just to get her to act silly! Here's a look at tonight's dinner! (By the way, you'll also get a glimpse of Macey's post-bathtub crazy curly hair.)

Of course, I had to include this cutie!

Trick or Treat

It's not quite Halloween yet, but today we went to the mall for some fall festival fun! There were costume contests (for kids and dogs), trick or treating, balloon animals, train rides, etc...basically lots to see and do.

This year, Macey is going to be a University of Memphis cheerleader (Go Tigers!) and Easton is...well, he's going to wear some Halloween jammies while we walk around trick or treating. So this afternoon, we put Macey in her cheerleading uniform and headed to the mall!

Let's Ice Skate!

Well, this week we tried out ice skating for the first time. I was surprised to learn that the lessons started at age 2, and I was excited to let Macey try it out. She's such an active little girl that I've been wanting to get her involved in something!

She had a blast! However...she didn't care so much for the "teaching" part. She couldn't have been less interested when the instructor was trying to tell her things, but she was loving it when she could attempt to do things on her own. Of course, there were lots of falls, but my independent little girl would only ask for help after she'd tried her hardest to get back up.

I was pretty impressed at how quickly she was able to figure out how to balance on the skates. After about 2 or 3 minutes, she had no problem just walking around with the skates on. All in all, we had a great time, but I don't think we'll be signing up for a full season of lessons until she's a little older. :-)

Easton LOVED watching!

Too funny!

"Night, Night"

And I use that phrase very loosely! This video shows a glimpse of Macey's energy level almost 24 hours a day (basically, minus sleep time). She definitely know hows to enjoy life!

Lately

Like most people, I love fall! We have been outside a lot lately...a lot! Here are some fun pictures from the past few weeks.

Don't ask him to babysit. He sleeps on the job!
