No matter how you describe it...we don't have long until little Easton makes his grand debut! I know this is technically a good thing, but the last week or so has been pretty boring. For a while I was having sporadic contractions. Even though they were never at all regular, they still made me think about how soon he would arrive. Now...nothing!
I still feel just fine, and for that I'm thankful, but I'm getting more and more anxious to meet our little boy! I'm afraid these final weeks may creep by until he's in our arms.
At my check-up next week, we should find out whether or not he's still breech. I'm very hopeful that he has turned, but if not we'll go ahead and schedule a c-section during week 39. I would appreciate prayers for a no-breech baby boy!
According to BabyCenter.com:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.)
